Insurance help!!!
So I went in twice to get monitored for contractions. I found out I had a UTI. I just received my EOB from my insurance and they are charging me 2 $500 emergency copay fees plus what my insurance didn't cover. This is what I don't understand.. I never went through the emergency room and my doctor was the one who called me to go in. My EOB said "Amount you may owe provider" and I have not received a bill from my hospital. Do you know if they just roll it in to my birth contracted rate or are they really gonna bill me 2 $500 copays?! Has anyone went in to get monitored and received a bill? I don't know anything about how hospital billing works!!!
