Loud kids in restaurants ?

Question

What's your opinion on adults taking their children out to a restaurant, I'm talking toddlers and babies. What would you think if they started crying or yelling (just being loud in general) would you say something? What would you do? I saw a "what would you do" video on this and thought I'd ask here! 
The type of restaurant wouldn't be aimed at young children (like some are) but for example, dates and family gatherings and such.

I would never approach someone with their kid losing it. It's not my kid, and it's not like they know any better. BUT. If it were my kid, I would take him/her to the restroom until they calm down.

Can we say something to the adults who go to restaurants and are obnoxious and rude or become intoxicated because that shit truly grinds my gears I can't have a nice dinner with my family without some adult ruining it

If it was me personally and my baby acted up I would remove it from the situation until it calmed down. I think it's selfish as fuck when a parent sots there with a screaming or noisey child and just pretends it's not happening. 
I am not rich and I don't eat put all the time, when I do its as a treat and I don't want to sit and listen to other people's kids ruining my dinner.

I think parents can be selfish, and think because of the age we are in no one can say anything to them if their kid is acting up. Well it's just plain rude and ignorant. You wouldn't go out in public and scream yourself so why would you allow your baby or child to do so ?

Kids will be kids. They will yell, scream and cry for no reason. I'm use it to with 7 nieces and 6 nephews and my own daughter. So yea it don't phase me at all.

I can understand parents bringing their little ones along for certain occasions or just to get out... And I know kids can get fussy or loud from time to time. But I also think, as the parents, it is your job to be cognizant of other people who are out toe joy their meal as well. If your child is becoming s constant disruption, then I would hope (because I would do this) that said parent would take the child to the lobby/ their car or where ever is available until they are calm. If the child is old enough to be taught appropriate restaurant behavior, then I would hope parents would be addressing the behavior as well.

I was out with my parents not too long ago at a restaurant with two parents who had a toddler SCREAMINGLY at the top of his lungs. They didn't seem to be doing much. The manage actually came over more than once to try and appease the child... And he actually got him to calm down. I would be so embarrassed if that happened to me!!

It's not the babies and toddlers that are bad. It's the ones that run around. I worked at a few restaurant and parents would let their kids climb on pool tables, throw balls, climb over booths, color on the table. It's crazy how some parents go out and don't watch their kids. The crying is nothing. That is out of their control it's the naughty disrespectful kids. Worse is when parents leave the mess. Come on put some napkins on the plate don't rip them up and leave them all over the floor!

It's really difficult for parents to judge if their kid will behave or not. I've got a 3 yr old and when he gets too hyper I give him my phone (which I hate doing) to watch videos. It's so embarrassing when they scream or whatever, and I know people don't want to hear it. It is what it is. Life.

I work in a resteraunt and what's fucking annoying is when they have their kids running all around when we have servers, hostesses, food runners and bussers trying to get by and your child is chillin in a walkway 🙄🙄

Most resturants it doesn't bother me BUT it irritates the hell out of me when people bring their young children or babies to a fine dining resturant, it's not the place for them.

At any resturant though, if a baby/toddler/young child is crying, upset, or overly disruptive it's the parents job to be courteous to other diners. If they can't be calmed then you pay your bill and get your food to go or take them outside while your party finishes their meal. They don't know better but the parents should

Mom of 2. I remove my 2 year old when she becomes too much. I wouldn't say anything,  but I don't think I could keep the nasty looks to myself.
