Pill or shot

So I'm currently on the shot but I would like to start taking the pill. I was told by some friends that if I start taking the pilk I would bleed really bad . however from my own conclusion if I wait until my body gets back on its regular scheduled program I should be fine. Any who which do you girls prefer the pill are the shot
