So my little guy is on his third day of life and I'm worried he's not having enough wet diapers. He just had his 4th poopy diaper, but has only had 1 wet one. He was able to meet the expectations the first two days when he wasn't nursing well at all. I got a nipple shield yesterday before we went home and he is nursing every 2-3 hours for 20-30 minutes now and I know he is getting some out because the shield has a lot in it when we are done and I can hear him swallowing. He was circumcised on Thursday, so I don't know if that ever effects wet diapers. Anyone have any advice or experience with this? Thanks so much for your help!
