Intense lower back pain= contractions?

Question

I'm getting intense lower back pain every 20-30 minutes or so for about 30 seconds at a time. I've felt worse pain, but I'd put these at about a 6. It feels like the lower back pain I get when I'm on my period.

Could this be show time?

And they've stopped. Way to get my hopes up, body!

I got those bad at 36 wks and lasted like two days . It was difficult to walk w/o having to pause while the spasms were happening in my back. Doc made me check in , it was contractions but not active labor for me, I was just 1cm dilated.  I'm now 8 days from DD.

Keep timing them see if they get 5 mins apart , duration of each 1 min long ,& this pattern lays for at least an hour ,

Yes I have back labor where it's just in my back and goes around my stomach but you could be in labor if it get more intense go to the dr
