Birthing plan

Is it smart for me to try to labor as long as I can at home or the car before going into the hospital? How many cm should I try to get to? I just know pitocin is going to be forced on me and I am a pushover. I think I epidural is fine as long as it's later in the contractions not at like 4 cm... But what do I know I haven't felt the pain yet! 😜
