Decrease in cervix length??

Question

Hey!!

Past three weeks I had scan which said that I had cervix of length 3.47cm with a little opening in it at 21th week.

Now,I had a sonography last week which says my cervix length is 2.8 cm at 23rd week of pregnancy ,with closed cervix.
How it can reduce in such a speed or this decrease is normal?

Please guide is the cervix length is OK this time or I need to be worried for it.
Kindly share your cervix length at 24th week of pregnancy. So,that I can get any idea for mine.

I had the same issue but it became a concern to the point where I had to have a cerclage done. I also do weekly progestogen shots. I started at 2.9 and it everntually dropped to 2.1 but thank god my cervix was closed it just shorten. Now I have been at a consistent 2.7

Mine was 2.5 cm at 19 weeks and now 1 cm with a 1 cm dialation at 25 weeks; I've never been able to carry full term so I'm on bedrest to insure I don't have him in the next 10 weeks

I have my scan today and am going to ask for a cervical length check.. your cervix does move and shrink expand on its own though.. it won't always be the same measurement. Good luck!!

At 21 weeks my cervix was soft, open and measuring 2.7cm. Doctor was very worried, got me on progesterone and told I need a cerlage done. At 22 weeks I had my next appointment (with a different doctor) and cervix was measuring 2.6-2.8cm and everything was basically the same. This doctor did not think a cerlage was needed at this moment and now I'm on progesterone only. I will be having my next appointment at 24 weeks (so in about 8 days) and I wish things are still ok.

I've been on bed rest since 21 weeks and most likely will continue to be for a while.

Feeling so relaxed after 5 weeks of cervix drama i get 4.6 cm of cervical length today..... :)

I have been having scans for cervix length since 16 weeks... Started at 4 cm and actually got as far as 4.4 cm at 20 weeks. At 22 weeks I dropped down to 3.7 cm. praying it hasn't shortened anymore.. Appt at 10.    My doctors told me if I get to 2.5 cm they will stitch my cervix.
