I need help . With my ex

Okay so my ex broke up with me for no reason . He bought me a phone and now he's asking for it back . He can't take it from me right? I have it for 4 months and he gave it to me as a gift . He won't stop texting me and yes I did cry for him and now that I stopped talking to him to forget him and he wants it back . That's called trying to steal no? I mean idk what too do . If my parents find out he wants it back they will make me cive it up . But I can't because I won't be able to get another one and my friends are being so nice . He can't take it right? Help!
