Confused!

Long story short I went to the er last Thursday for some bleeding. They did an ultrasound and said the yolk sac was too large and there was no fetal pole which there should have been since i was  8 weeks. They said it was a non viable pregnancy and no chance of it developing. Now I just went to my ob for a follow up. Since I am not bleeding she wants to do an ultrasound one last time. She also told me I should miscarry naturally which could take weeks. I have now come to terms that I have no baby and just want the d&c over with so I can get closure. I feel like this is so prolonged. Anyone have similar stories???
