How much bleeding is normal after a cervical check?

I've been having my cervix checked weekly since 36 weeks (and am unfortunately only 1-2cm at 39) but this is the first week I have had bleeding after. The doctor told me it might happen, but how much is normal? I was cramping and sat on the toilet and it looks like I lost 1-2 tablespoons.

Ps my doctor's office is closed now, I already tried calling.

If you soak through a pad, then you need to head in. That's what I'm told all the time.

I was checked today and my doctor said spotting is normal, but if it looks like I have my period to call... Hope this helps

I haven't bled at all and I've had 2 checks so far. When you got checked at 36 & 37, were you dilated or effaced at all?

You could always call labor and delivery at the hospital, but your doctors office should have someone on call
