Need some help.

My 'baby daddy' and i aren't together and we've had a real rocky relationship the whole pregnancy so far. He hasn't acted like he cares at all and only talks to me when he wants to argue or to threaten to take me court. We had a name picked out, but I don't like it anymore and I don't want to cause another argument. My mom keeps telling me that since he hasn't stepped up at all and has caused more stress than anything, he doesn't get to have an opinion on her name. Any advice?
