Anyone else?

So my husband has only so many paid vacation days and wants to save them for when the baby arrives. Which means he won't be at the gender ultrasound with me. At first I was sad but now I'm excited about getting to surprise him when he gets home! Anyone else going to surprise their husbands or boyfriends?

My SO is gunna be real surprised when the baby comes out of my vagina lol. We are waiting til birth to find out.

My husbands work is similar, he can't take off unless he uses a paid vacation day, even for a half day, there are a few days around 20 weeks where we can get an evening appointment so he can go along, but we already found out the gender, he is still excited to be able to see how big baby has gotten though. If your OB office will let you get your anatomy scan outside their office your local hospital may have late evening or even weekend appointments.

My partner just tells his boss he has an ultrasound to be at and he's allowed to leave for a couple of hours. Is your husband not able to do the same?

I am in the same boat. This is our 4th child and my husband works out of town from Mon morn unroll Fri morning. He wasn't with me for the two youngest. My mom is always a great support to go tho. It's hard when they only get so much pto. It's beeter saved until the baby arrives because the help is greatly appreciated lol. Good luck with your new arrival.

My husband got to come to the first appointment and he'll be there when baby girl is born. I was sad that he wasn't there for the first heartbeat or gender, but one tech let me FaceTime him to hear the heartbeat and it was fun to surprise him with the gender. I took my best friend with me for the gender scan because I felt it was too exciting to go alone.

Why does he have to take a whole day off for an ultrasound? We usually schedule our appointments for very early or very late in the day so that we can just adjust our work schedules and take an hour or two off. Can your husband do that?
