Should people do jail time for texting and driving?

Everyone knows texting and driving could lead to terrible situations. I think the laws are way to lenient the texting and driving and being on your phone period. You're putting other ppl lives at risk for something you can easily pull over and handle. You only get fined in my state. With that being said should they change the law to where now you can do jail time?
