Short cycles...?

Anyone know if short cycles have anything to with not being able to conceive? I'm out for the month of March. Again :(. & we usually bd on ovulation day. But my periods have only been 3 days for the last 2 years. The flow was heavier than normal this time around. But I can't remember the last time it lasted longer than 3 days. Anyone know if that could have something to do with it? Just curious.  T.I.A ladies!

I have a short cycle and ovulate on CD 9/10 and I am currently 4 weeks. And I  have a 3 to 4 day cycle length as well. Makes it a little harder but not impossible to conceive.

I think what matters is your luteal phase or the time between ovulation and the the start of ur next cycle. U want to have a luteal phase that is long enough to allow for implantation. The average luteal phase lasts for 14 days but anywhere from 10-16 days is considered normal and adequate to support a fertilized egg to implant.

I have a short luteal phase (11/12 days) so my doctor put me on Clomid to lengthen my cycle.  I went from a 26/27 day cycle to 30.  If you have a true 2 week wait after you ovulate, you should be fine.  I was ovulating around cd 16/17 and that's too late for a 26/27 day cycle.
