Normal to bleed in first pregnancy?

Dark red to brown, to light red to small clots but no cramping. Is it common in first trimester ?

I'd just like to add I actually had a period bleed in my pregnancy. (I would have been about 4/5weeks) It was 2 days late from expected and lasted 3 days the first day was a heavy flow of blood I was actually using tampons for 2 days of it. Never bled after that had a scan last week and had a healthy 12+4week baby in there! Not all blood is bad blood regardless.. but always good to get it checked just in case! X

I would contact your doctor I had brown discharge in my last pregnancy and was told it was all normal and it was just old blood coming out and that because I hadn't had any cramps or bleeding not to worry.... I'm not trying to scare or worry you but I sadly lost my baby and didn't have a clue until I demanded to have an early scan. So this time round I'm not taking any chances if I have any kind of bleeding I'll be on the phone to my doctor.

I would call your doctor. Red bleeding can be the sign of a problem. Usually pink or brown bleeding is normal.
