Sleeping on my back?

Question

I'm having trouble getting to sleep laying on my sides, I will get to sleep but it takes about an hour. Would I be able to lay on my back to sleep? I've heard its bad but I just want to make sure so I don't hurt my baby girl. (31 weeks pregnant)

It's suppose to be bad but I sometimes have to sleep on my back to get any comfort and my baby is healthy, but I wouldn't lay completely strait on your back because for me it feels like I'm suffocating because off all the weight of baby I'm 33 weeks

It's not ideal but neither is prolonged no sleeping. Prop your right hip on a pillow so you're not flat flat and you should be fine ;) if you start to feel funny then flip onto our left side!

Do ou have anyway you can kind of prop yourself yo some when you're wanting to sleep on your back? My doctor said don't stress about waking up to find you've moved to your back that nature will usually wake you up because of the pressure and weight! If you have a way to kind of prop yourself up though so you're not laying flat she told me that would be ok! I have like 4 pillows sometimes so ya still soft but I'm not flat either! I hope you get some relief soon!

It can be really bad on your back because of the weight of the uterus. I wake up on my back a ton and whenever I notice I slept on my back too much it kills me the next day it hurts so bad
