My doc broke my heart for no reason

Last Friday (good Fri) was my first prenatal appointment. I was naturally worried because I had a miscarriage at 13wks about 2 1/2years ago and my husband and I have been TTC for a year before I got my BFP! Based upon my last cycle, I should have been 9wks. He assured me that miscarriage is common with first pregnancies and he's confident this one will be full term. He said he would run the Doppler for a heart beat just for peace of mind... nothing. He said at 9wks not hearing anything is normal. Then he mentions doing a quick abdominal ultrasound just to detect a heart beat. Mind you, I emptied my bladder for a urine sample at the start of the appt. The tech was a total ass. He kept asking me if I was sure I haven't been bleeding or spotting, was I sure about my dates. I understand dates can be off but we had been.ttc for so long I tracked everything! He ended up saying he sees a yolk sac but no fetus. That there is no way I was even 6wks. I was devastated! My doc came in and said exactly the same thing. Based upon what he was seeing, he's almost sure it's an abnormal pregnancy. He says we will do a vaginal ultrasound along with blood work for HCG to be sure but to think about my options to miscarry, natural or medical. For the entire Easter weekend I was crushed, I still felt very pregnant being sick/tired etc.... complete defeat. Monday morning doc calls and says blood work looks great but that's what worries him, my hcg counts are very high but not consistent with abdominal ultrasound. Regardless, I still wanted a vaginal ultrasound to have a better picture! 5 days after my first prenatal and devastating news of probable miscarriage, I had the transvaginal. As I was filling in the OB tech, he stops me. And says Kelsey, don't let anyone give you an ultrasound that isn't in OB because they don't know what they are doing. What? I say. Look at your baby, he tells me! Only a few days than estimated, at 9wks1d I was able to see my baby moving around, being supper active with a strong heart beat of 166!!! I wanted to share my story because I know this has to happen to others, please don't give up hope!!! My little miracle baby coming Halloween 2016!!!!
