I feel like I'm going into labour, but they tell me it's too early? I need advise from anyone who has gone through this.

Sorry everyone, I'n not even sure where to post this.

Went to the clinic yesterday, got told I'm 1CM dilated, and the machine picked up my contractions, then got sent home and told to wait until they are 5min apart. I went back because I was in pain and they told me I was 2CM dilated and contractions are now closer together, but they believe I'm 32 weeks by measuring my stomach, even though my scans say I'm 37 weeks. They also told me I had no mucus plug yesterday, but today they told me that I have a mucus plug again?? Wth?? Has anyone delt with this? I don't know what to do? Any advice would be appreciated. I can't go to the hospital, they only see you when the clinic refers you. They are the only 2 government  hospitals in my area. They told me that my daughter was premature as well, until she was born.

I lost my mucus plug, went to my midwife and I was going into preterm labor. A week before I had contractions and was only 2cm dilated they sent me home. They managed to stop my preterm labor and still sent me home at 3cm dilated. What they're doing now is making it easier for you. Yes, you're worried but would you rather sit in the hospital with nothing happening or in the comfort of your own home with family until it gets to the point where the baby is almost here. You're progressing which is good, but as of now the doctors and nurses cannot do anything to help you. It's just a waiting game. I took a bath the night before I went into labor (after the preterm) and it helped with the pain. Standing on all fours like a dog helps too! When I was in the hospital in actual labor they had me sit on an exercise ball which did wonders. Good luck!

Your mucus plug can regrow, especially if you're not close to active labor. You can also be dilated a little bit for weeks without being in active labor. I'm 34 weeks and have been having both Braxton hicks contractions and actual contractions since 33 weeks. I've gotten checked twice though and neither the hospital nor my doctor were concerned enough to keep me.

Any progress Amber? I was confused by your post. In the US your dr will come up with a due date at your first or second appointment (8weeks) and never stray from that date. The difference between 32 and 37 weeks is huge!! Sorry you aren't receiving the medical care every woman deserves babe 👎

I think you should just go home and relax. You can be a few centimeters dilated for weeks or more. Why a clinic? No OBGYN?

It doesn't sound right that they would send someone 32 weeks who is dilated and having contractions  home. If you are only 32 weeks you should go back to the hospital. If you are 37 weeks it's normal to have contractions and start to dilated. You should rest at home until the contractions are 5 minutes apart and go back to the hospital.
