From Depo back to pill

I had a horrible time on the shot. At first it was great, no period, no worries but what I didn't realise was that I was gaining weight and my libido was extremely low :( I also experienced dryness down there which was really painful and upsetting for both myself and my partner. I wanna know if anyone else has been in same situation and how long it takes for side affects to leave after stopping Depo? I am on Combined pill now.
