Autism

Hey guys, my boss and his wife discovered yesterday that their 17 month old son may have autism, the doctors still have to do further testing. Anyway, neither of the parents are from the US and are absolutely devastated and worried about their baby. They are having a hard time understanding this because in their country, they don't see kids with autism who can function in daily life. I am trying my best to keep their hopes up, but I also don't know much about autism except that there's a lot of people living with it. Can anyone give me their experience of having a baby with autism to tell them and hopefully ease their worries? They're so worried and praying hard that everything turns out fine. It's so sad watching them struggle with this not knowing what to expect down the road later in life for their son
