Anybody any advice or stories/experiences on home dopplers?

Bought mine a week ago for peace of mind and testing it out next week as soon as I get back home from holiday. Been ups and downs from the symptoms and those times that I don't feel any symptoms my mind and dreams at night go crazy so I bought it. But my hubby's concerned that when/if we don't find a heartbeat that that would add to the concern and worry sometimes.  Is it worth using? I'm 11w3d today. Started loosing symptoms at 8 weeks. Had two doc appointments so far with a healthy heartbeat of 165bpm almost 3 weeks ago.

I have one and absolutely love it!!! Found the hb for the first time just shy of 10 weeks and by 12 weeks I was able to find it consistently. (10-12w was hit and miss) if you do get one, watch some you tube videos on where to do it. I read a lot of people early in pregnancy searching near their belly buttons and baby is waaaaaay lower. I'm 15 weeks now and it still hangs out a lot under my pubic bone- only coming above every once in a while. But now I can also hear it kick and move (even though I haven't felt anything yet)

Yeah i don't recommend this early either because even doctors have trouble finding heart beat & it'll just make you worry.......... i had an appointment at 15 weeks and doctor scared the crap out of me because she couldn't find the heartbeat.......... but she eventually found it

I wouldn't recommend it before 14 weeks honestly. The baby is so small and its very easy to not find the heartbeat. Even 14 weeks is early but can be detected earlier, just also easily missed before this point. Look up YouTube to see where you should start looking and do it if you feel you must but if you can wait till at least 14 weeks I'd highly suggest it. I didn't use mine till 16wks (19wks currently) and i now can find her heartbeat every time without fail :)

I found it around 8 or 9 weeks.  It worked well for me because the time I didn't hear it at 14weeks I called my doc because my dog had jumped on me so he brought me in and there was no hb (not because of the dog) but had I not had it I wouldn't have known for weeks.

I'm 8wks 3days have found HB within a minute each time I use mine. Had it for a week now

I depends a lot on where the baby is sitting in early pregnancy. My doctor couldn't find the heartbeat at 15wks but said that's quite normal and we just need to wait a few weeks.
