I seriously get so annoyed when people ask me "were you guys trying to get pregnant?" When I respond "no we were surprised" they say "well if you're having sex with no protection what do you expect?" Some older lady that I don't even know is apparently friends with my husbands grandmother said these very words to me. So what i said was "well seeing that you don't know me ill let you in on something. I was told I couldn't have children. Seeing that I had every doctor tell me I wasn't going to be able to conceive without their help I never expected to be able to do it naturally. Since you believe I should of know unsafe sex results in babies which I clearly do I feel you should know that not everyone can just have them so we don't take the same precautions as someone who can." The lady didn't say a single word to me after my response. People are so rude they really think that some of us are so stupid for being surprised about getting pregnant and are dumb for being shocked that we are because clearly we didn't use protection and that automatically equals baby to some people. Like lady I had 4 doctors and multiple test and ultrasounds tell me I couldn't have kids without medical intervention. So the fact I did get pregnant naturally on my own is a HUGE surprise for us. People really need to take a step back and think before they speak. We all do not have the same journey in life.
