Spotting at 6 weeks

I am 6 weeks and 3 days today.. Last night i had probably a 1/3 of a tea spoon of dark spotting and right now I wiped after using the restoom and I noticed dark streack of blood in the paper. Not having any symptoms like should pain, cramping...  But my first pregnancy I never had any spotting.. I ve talked to the nurse line and she said best thing to do is to take it easy.. I am starting to think this could be an etopic pregnancy.. Or is it normal to have dark spotting at this stage of pregnancy?
