"Just wait"
Anyone sick and tired of hearing the "just waits"???!!! I get that they want you to be prepared for the challenges, but why don't they have anything positive to say?! "Just wait, you'll never sleep again!" "Just wait until your too exhausted to do anything" "you think you're tired now, just wait!"
What about the good stuff? What about the "just wait until you see their perfect face", or "just wait until you see their smile for the first time". All we've heard is negative, and I'm so tired of it. And what's funny is that it wouldn't be acceptable to say it to someone else in another circumstance! What if I said back "well, just wait until you get old and have arthritis, you'll never be pain free again! Hahaha!" Like, no.
Sorry for the rant, I just wish people would celebrate having kids, not put children down. We know it's going to be hard. So shut up.
