Cohen?

Ok I have a question for everyone! I just found out I'm having a boy and I really love the name Cohen. My question is do you think it's offensive? I realize that it is a common Jewish surname however it also has a Germanic, Gaelic, and Dutch conotation and I'm 1/4 Dutch 1/4 German and 1/4 Irish. I have been told it may seem offensive to the Jewish community and akin to a non-Muslim naming there baby Mohammed? I would appreciate any advice you all have especially if you are of Jewish heritage. Please be honest. I don't want to be cultural appropriater! Is it still offensive if I use the Germanic or Dutch spelling? I'm Buddhist and we are taught to respect all religions equally and if I didn't love the name so much I probably would have already moved on to another but I'm not quite ready to let go of it yet... Thanks everyone!
