How do people know gender this early?!

Hey everyone! I see so many people that know the gender of their baby and are around the same (12 weeks) as I am. How do you know so early? Did you have to ask your doctor/pay extra to find out? How accurate is it? My doctor never offered anything like that. Thanks!

early results arent so accurate even the harmony and other blood test so i dont think that waiting is too big a deal (IMO)

I'm 12 weeks 3 days and Monday at my appt they did the blood test on me (to check for any abnormalities with the baby, but it'll also show gender). It'll take 7-10 days for the results.  My Dr's office does it on everyone

It's a genetics test that tests your DNA accuracy is 99% you have to pay up for it ours cost $350. We did it for the added accuracy of testing for Down syndrome and Tristomy and the "side effect" is that you get to find the gender! I got my results yesterday we are having a healthy baby boy!!

You can find out the gender as early as 9 weeks with the genetic testing. I took my test on Friday at 10 weeks and should be getting the results this Friday 🤗

I appreciate all the responses. I don't care if I have to wait until 18-20 weeks other than I'm a military family moving to Korea so my baby shower has to be super early so we can ship our stuff and have it to us for when we get there. I've searched for gender neutral things around here and I can't find anything! I will know in time for a baby shower but it won't give people much time to respond and shop. I'll look into everything thanks! Oh the harmony test I heard there was a huge lawsuit??? Not sure if that is correct.

If you live in Canada the Harmony test isn't available to you. I was curious about it so I did some research. They do not include the gender in our genetic testing. I did find some online land in the US which you could use and do a home test by mail. But I think waiting until your 20 week ultrasound isn't that big of a deal.

My doctor office you could pay $50 to find out at 16weeks but were I am from their are also fetal photography places that will let you find out  at 16weeks you just have to pay ' most places don't tell you unless you ask them
