Pregnancy test

Ok how soon is too soon to take a pregnancy test. Ok just a little background I was on the shot for a year got off in December of last year and got my period at the end of February it went over into March it came on again like that following week of it being off around the 10th of March. According to eve I had sex while I was ovulating. My period is due Thursday (according to eve) I've taken pregnancy test all negative. Am I testing too early?
