Is it true your period is lighter of a flow when u are taking birth control?

Answer

Yes and no. I say this because I had severe cramping and heavy flow before I got on birth control. Once I started using it, it eased my severe cramping and my flows were relatively the same but the heaviness of it lessened. I've been on BC for 3 years now and some cycles are regular in flow for me and some months are heavy. I think it also just depends on your hormones too. I have friends who are on BC as well who never get a heavy flow.
