Clogged milk duct?

I had my little guy 2 weeks ago and have been EBF. Tonight I woke up and my left breast is tender and sore by my armpit and down below it. I've nursed on that side twice since and it hasn't seemed to help much. It doesn't look red (yet) and I don't have a fever or aches or pains. Any advice on how to relieve some of the pain? I'm a first time mom, so not sure of any of this stuff. Thanks for the help!

I went to the doctor for this. It's called engorgment. I was at the point where it went to fever, hot/cold flashes and extremely weak.

He prescribed antibiotics, told me to apply a piece of cold GREEN cabbage to the clogged area until it turned warm, and try to massage it while in the shower.

Omg,  total life saver. THEN, it came back and the cabbage was no longer working. I put ice on it for a few hours. Worked like a charm! Ice is the key.

I'm irrationally freaking out about mine and thinking it's a tumor and I won't see the baby grow up. Like my mind is in overdrive. When massaging them do they stay in place? Also, how big is a big lump because I feel like mine is huge. It's not hot, but only sore when massaging it.

I have the same thing! My midwife had me boil some ginger in wTer and use that as a warm compress. She also told me to use the football hold on that side.

I also read that taking a lethicin supplement really does the trick but I haven't tried it myself! Hoping this is the only time it happens!!

Use heat and massage before (and during if you can). A super hot shower and let the water hit the spot it hurts in...work it in circular motions towards the nipple. Clogged ducts can take a day or so to work out. I've been getting them often, unfortunately, and heat and massage work best. Oh and keep letting baby nurse on that side first :)
