HCG rising but not doubling???

Question

I'm 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant. My HCG is increased but didn't double. I had a sonogram last week and yesterday but only saw the sac. The doctor made scared me about losing the pregnancy. I'm extremely upset, emotional and dishearted. I need some success stories.

Are you suppose to go for another blood draw to check it? What are your numbers? Stay positive it's very early and that could be the reasons for the empty sac
