I asked my mom of I could go to the movies with a guy I really really like and he's 17 and I'm 14 she yelled at me.. 
I really want to date him. Now I'm scared he's gonna stop talking to me and find somebody else not as young and somebody that can see him more than for 20 mins every other day. 
I wanna try to change her mind. And also he WANTS to meet my parents this is the first guy ever that actually wants to meet them. 
Idk what to do but cry!!😩😭😭

If he's not willing to wait he's not worth it honestly. And u might not like ur mom for this right now but no joke u will see why later on. She's just trying to protect cause she knows what older boys especially 17 are like. She probably thinks he's trying to take advantage of u which is understandable even if he isn't. Maybe she needs to get to know him first to see his real intentions. Trying talking about it with her but always respect her.

I don't think it's that bad but you're young and he's almost an adult, maybe wait until you're older to date someone a few years older than you. And keep in mind that he's 17 and as bad as it sounds, may only want stuff from you (he may be different but just saying from past experiences and friends situations the older guys have only used my friends. trust your mom, she knows best. I know we hate to admit it but as I grow up I realize my mom has been right about everything, you'll realize this too. A 17 year old boy does not want anything from a 14 year old girl except a sexual relationship. He's 17, he's at a different stage in life than you are. Look for a boy your own age.

Trust your mum. My boyfriend and I are 17, and his little sister is 15. She hangs out with a guy in our year who encouraged her to smoke weed, and then she got in the shit when the school found out and she got suspended while nothing happened to the guy she was with.

Even if that doesn't happen, that boy could get you into all sorts of trouble. I don't want you to risk that. Future employers will see that my bf's sister has been suspended from school so it's gonna be harder for her. Don't risk trouble.

When I was 14, really liked this 17 year old and all he wanted was sex from me but I didn't know that being the naive child I was. So in my opinions it's best to listen to your mom cause she's gonna through all of this and is just trying to protect you. Sure you want to do what you THINK is in your best interest, but you mom KNOWS what's best for you. Plus he's going to turn 18 in most likely less than a year and it will become illegal for you guys to date and do anything 😉😉 while together. So if you want to go to court for statutory rape with this guy then by all means go on and date him, but it's best for you to listen to your mom and not get involved with older guys. They only want one thing and you probably won't want to give that up to him.
