To wait or not to wait....

I'm almost 20 years old and my boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year and a half. We both are virgins and want to wait to have sex until our wedding night but its soo hard waiting since we are so attracted to each other and in love! We talk about marriage and we hope to get married in a year/year and a half but that feels like such a long wait.. So input time.. If you waited until marriage was it worth it or any opinion is good here..? Thanks yall!
