34 weeks pregnant at a wedding?

Hey all! 
My fiance's brother is getting married this October! (The 28th to be exact) 
Problem is, I recently found out I'm pregnant and doing the math...ill be around 34 weeks at the time!

To make it harder, my fiancé and I live in the Midwest, while the wedding will be in California, a 26 hour drive away if I weren't to take a plane. Obviously traveling in the last trimester is a little tricky, and I'd really love to be there! I just don't know what to do, my baby's health and safety comes first, but my fiancé is a groomsmen and doesn't want to go if I don't.

I really appreciate my fiancé wanting me to be there, it's really sweet but I feel as if it'll cause family drama If he were to skip out especially for his own brothers wedding.

I'm just worried, I'm sure it's a needless worry and I'm overreacting but what if I went and there were complications? That's obviously be scary and hard, but at the same time, if I make my fiancé go and go into labor early while stuck home in the Midwest I'd have no support system in the delivery room since my family is back on the east coast. And if we both stay home, I don't know if my fiance's family will forgive us since they can be....petty to say the least

I know I'm being a worry wart but feel free to share your opinions, any advice is appreciated ladies!

At 34 weeks you probably won't be able to fly. If you do take the drive maybe it a baby moon and enjoy the shit out of it! ! Stop often and take your time.  If you're not up to it, let him go to share his brothers special day.

Your doctor will likely advise against you going. I'd tell your honey to go and you stay home and rest and nest🙂

You can keep an open mind about going, but let them know that if any complications arrive that you may need to back out. If you develop pre-eclampsia or delivery prematurely, for example. But if you have a healthy pregnnacy with no complications, I would go for it. You can fly if your doctor recommends it, but turning the road trip into something fun would be great too!

You know yourself and your body more than anyone else. If you think you can handle traveling then go for it for the sake of your husband. If you think you can't do it, then talk to your husband and I'm sure he will be supportive! It's hard for him to leave you alone and also hard for him to miss his brothers big day! If they know your pregnant I'm sure they will understand that it is harder to travel and better for you to be where u know your route to the hospital and also where you have your fiancé with you for support

Most Drs won't let you fly after about 7 months for a variety of reasons- so you can always use the excuse of Drs orders.
I have a wedding to attend about 5 weeks out from my due date. It's local but I'm still sorta dreading it. Not sure I'm gonna feel like getting all dressed up 8 months pregnant. And plus I retained a TON of fluid with my last pregnancy- it was not pretty! Ha

We are going to a wedding in Maryland in a month and I will be 32 weeks. And I live in California. We are flying because it's faster. The dr approved it and said that they only worry afte 37 weeks. Right before you go, you will have to get a dr note to bring on the plane that says you are clear to fly, so if the dr doesn't think you are good to fly, than at that point you can tell his family you won't be coming because the dr thinks you will possibly deliver. Family will understand at that point, but they won't understand if you don't at least attempt to go.

Def go I went to four weddings while in my last trimester, two of them were hours away and we had to drive and stay in hotels for the weekend and I was fine. I think I was 33-34 weeks at the one and 34-35 weeks at the other (they were right in a row) I was fine :) it was actually kind of nice too because it was like we had mini baby moon vacations to go on. You should consult your doctor, you probably won't be able to fly. I know they have a limit.

Hi.. why don't use maybe set off a day or two earlier and don't do all the travelling in one day take your time and they will be doctors and midwifes there if you go into labour.. I would baby see how you feel closer to the time October is a while away and then get advice of your midwife if your still a little worried on what to do x
