Help... Is this a chemical?

Question

I tested my first faint line possitive at 11 dpo. Now at 16 dpo the lines aren't getting a whole lot darker... I'm scared if this is chemical. I have all the normal symptoms of early pregnancy and I need to know if it's okay for the line to not be very dark yet...

I just looked at the test again (bout a half an hour after I took it) it's DARK.

Don't go by the darkness of the line. Make an appointment and have your OB confirm. But a line is a line. It can take over a week to see a noticeable change in line darkness, if there is one at all.

It definitely looks darker. I would worry if it was back to the lightest stage in a couple of days.

It looks darker to me actually.  Early on the changes aren't too significant. My lines actually never got all that impressively dark but I'm 22 weeks with a healthy pregnancy. When I had CP my lines got progressively more faint and had disappeared within 3 days.

I had light lines for 5 days straight on the strips. Wasn't sure if it was chemical or not. So did some research and ended up buying a 3 pack of the clear blue week estimator tests which came back positive 2 to 3 weeks. I think the low threshold for 2 to 3 weeks is 150 hcg. Made me feel better. The doctors office wanted me to wait to get a test done there but after I told them I had used the digital they ordered a lab tests for me and confirmed it that day. I will say thought that by the time I took the digital test I could pee on the stick at any time of day without holding my urine for more than an hour and get a positive. One of the positives of having bag full of cheap test strips, you can test any time for hardly any money.

You are never supposed to look at a test after ten minutes.  The lines will get darker or evap lines can appear.
BUT with that being said,darkness of the line is completely irrelevant.  All that matters is the line appears within ten minutes of taking the test. If their is any faint line you have pregnancy hormones. I never got a "dark" pregnancy test and I'm now 25 weeks pregnant 😊
Make a doctors appointment and get a sonogram,that's the only way to know if your pregnancy is healthy and progressing or not.
