Equate Early Ovulation Kit

This is my first time testing for ovulation and I'm not sure if the tests are working properly. It takes well over the three minutes it's supposed to be reading to give a result and every time is the exact same color results showing no surge. My CM is definitely fertile and this matches up so far with the glow app. My body is telling me it's coming but the test is not. Anyone else have trouble with this brand? I know you only have one ovulation or two ovulation days, it's just weird the test result isn't getting stronger.
