Help!! So confused

Has anyone here spotted for 2 days around the time af was to come and end up with a positive? I started what i thought was af on friday, which glow said i was to start. But i barley filled one tampon and nothin on my liners after that. It started off red on friday and yesterday was brown and by the end of yesterday, nothing. Took a test today and was negative. Also before i start my period i ALWAYS have really bad lower back aches which lets me know ima bout to start. With this, ive had absolutely no cramps what so ever! No pms symptoms as well. Just been a little more tired than normal. Should i wait to test later on this week? Or was it af?
