My youngest (that has already been born)

Rachael • I'm a 34 year old RN and mother of three (soon to be four). Kinda feel like a 1st time mom, since my youngest is 12!
So this is the birth story of my youngest child (well, youngest that is out of my belly, still have a few months to go before this one gets evicted lol).
I went into labor at about 5am. I actually think it started before that, because I woke up at 3am, took a shower, shaved, did some laundry. But at about 5, the contractions started at a fantastic 3 minutes apart.
Called the doc, headed to the hospital at about 6am. Got there, and was already dilated to 6. The doc didn't want to give me the epidural, said it was too late and wouldn't take effect fast enough, as I tend to labor fast. But I argued and won, and down came anesthesiologist to poke me in the back. That was about 715am.
Once the epidural took effect I was much more comfortable. I was only a 7, so my husband ran out to smoke. Well, bad idea sir. Shortly after he left the room, I got super nauseated. I called the nurse and before she even had a chance to give me a bucket, I threw up. Mostly just water cuz all I had was ice chips. That's when it got scary. I passed out cold. I don't know how long I was out for, but when I came to, they were drawing blood for the emergency c section.
There were about 12 doctors and nurses in the room. I was dilated to 9. The baby's heart rate kept going down. For reasons unknown to me, the doctor decided right then that it was time to push. At a 9....
Well, after turning my epidural off (which she didn't tell me they did), I suddenly felt EVERYTHING. I don't remember making noise but I must have because she actually said to me "quiet down, it doesn't hurt that bad"....BITCH ARE YOU KIDDING?!?! This is after she had told me several hours earlier that she had ALL of her kids by SCHEDULED c section. How would she know if it hurt?!?!
Anyways, after four pushes, my son was born at 0917. The D cells were caused by him grabbing his cord. He literally came out with it in his hand.
But he was healthy, 9/10 and 10/10 apgar. 9 lbs 3 oz, 22 inches.
