I went to my 39 week dr

Cassandra • 31 years old.. all about my family .. mommy of 3 girls..And loves spending time with family
I went to my 39 week dr. Appointment. Once there they did the normal weight and BP check. My BP was 159 over 90 over something close to that so they said they'd recheck it after doing the cervix check. Once the cervix check was complete I still was not dialated but ilwas told I was 80 percent effaced still and her head was down in the negative 2 position. They checked my BP again but no change so they decided it would be best to admit me and start the induction. I was nervous excited scared anxious etc that I was on my way to the hospital to start the process. Once there they were going to insert measle pills ( down there) to get the cervix to soften and open. That was step one. Before they could do that however they had to verify that she was head down and ready to come out safely. Well ultrasound showed that she was definitely not head down and was breeched. So change of plans. C section when you ask 4 hours. Wow what a roller-coaster of emotions I went thru. I was s scared and nervous yet excited I knew I'd hv riley before the night was over. They got me ready for c section and started the epidural.. I had about 6 doses in the prep room alone because I was still able to feel some touch but once they were done I could move my legs but my stomach was numb. .. or so they thought.. they wheeled me back got me on the table and started the procedure. After cutting through to the perineum I started saying how painful it was and how I could feel it. They kept telling me just hold on we are giving you more meds. After more epidural pain meds and kedimene they finally said okay daddy your gonna have to leave we need to put her out to get her outta pain. So they pried my hand out of his and he left. They grabbed his phone so we wouldn't miss those once in a lifetime pictures though which was absolutely amazing. Once I was out they finished the surgery and my little girl was here. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz .. 19 and a quarter inches long and had a whole head full of hair. I was pretty drugged up at this point so they kept me upstairs for a while in recovery before moving me down to the real recovery floors where visitors could be. The recovery process is extremely difficult and something that is often thought of as eh that's not gonna be hard. Trust me it is. Everyone who came by said how perfect she was and how they heard I had a horrible time during surgery. I don't blame the doctors at all those because as far as they knew I was numb my body just had a high tolerance. I thank them for all of their help thru the whole process and taking care of me and our baby girl. I couldn't be any happier with our new addition. Recovery is still very hard going on a week after but each day it gets better because all i have to do is look at my baby girl and I know it was all worth it.
