Announcing Baby's Name?

Question

When are you all planning to tell friends and family your baby's name? I've been advised multiple times by friends who recently had babies to wait until the baby is born to avoid negative reactions and uncalled for opinions. Thoughts?! What did you all do/planning to do??

I won't be telling anyone the final name until I give birth. I've mentioned a few names I've been thinking about and people can be so particular and judgemental (especially my in-laws). People tend to be a little more accepting of a name when it's attached to a baby.

I'll happily remove anyone from Facebook who has the audacity to tell me they "don't like the name" or "think it should be this instead". I would NEVER tell someone who just announced that I don't like their name choice! We plan on telling everyone when we reveal the gender.

Our families already know the names we have picked out. It just a matter of boy or girl as to which one gets used.

I wont even be able to announce the baby's name till birth because we aren't even finding out what we are having till then. We are set on a girls name but if it's a boy, we are having a hard time to agree with one.

I've only told my mom and sister. I picked the first name and my husband picked her middle name. Our oldest has since made sure that everyone knows now, but for those who don't will find out until she's born 💕
