Epidural or no epidural?

Did you have an epidural or not? And the outcomes of either? Was it better or worse? I want to do without but everyone keeps saying I cant.

Of course you can do it!! If I can do it, you can do it!!!! My labor was 19 hours from the time my water broke to delivery. No pain meds whatsoever and we wouldn't have it any other way!!! We'll do it all over again in June. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't. Women do it naturally all over the world every single day. It's a difficult and wonderful experience. I don't know one single woman who's gone through natural labor and regretted the experience! Blessings on a happy and healthy L&D and here's to finding what my husband calls your "Rambo Moment"! 💪🏻❤️

I had the epidural just because I have no pain tolerance I went into ER crying from pain and I was only dilated to 1 cm lol

48 hour labor which I done at home and at work and didn't go into the hospital until my water broke. All they had time to do was get me in a room before I had my son. I loved it. No stitches, no tears, and no epidural. You can do it! I'm hoping to have the same experience this time around too.

It's really important to educate yourself on this subject thoroughly. And there is absolutely no right answer for everyone. Every birth is different and there are soooo many different circumstances that can effect what is right for you. I love the Birth Book by dr Sears, it gives a very unbiased, honest perspective on different situations where an epidural was necessary to preserves moms energy, but also addresses how they shouldn't replace natural pain relief methods. Plan for both! Learn the benefits! Don't let anyone else tell you that you can't do it without one, it's your birth decide what's right for you and prepare for anything that could happen.

Ok first of all tell them to go f themselves. They shouldn't tell u that u cant. We are built to do it. Now ive done both. (Both of my epidurals were a little messed up 1 it took forever for him to load it up the other wasnt plugged in and it was all over the floor so it mostly just took the edge off) #3 i arrived at the hospital at 9 cm and had no choice. I personally would never choose to go natural due to the amount of pain. Im a pussy i hate pain, i never thought i could do it but i did. Its what we do. Its human nature. If u want to go natural go for it. Its ur body its ur call.

I had no epiderual with my first son but it was a short labor.... Everything went fine just very painful now with my second i am hoping for a short labor too I don't know if i could take that much pain for very long lol so I am considering getting one if labor is long....
