Making me wait too long

So my boyfriend & I are about to be a year together on the 24th of April and we have not introduced each other to our families. Is that normal in the sense that it can just be that he's not ready? Because I know I am I've brought it to his attention kind of indirectly about 2-3 times but he doesn't really say much about it. And I'm always over his house his parents I know have seen me but he just for some reason won't properly introduce me to the family what could it be?
