My birth story!

Sarah
My entire pregnancy I was drinking raspberry leaf tea, working out, and bouncing on the ball-- determined to have a fabulous delivery, one morning I woke up and felt normal, totally normal, hubby and I went to the gym, came home and showered and proceeded to bounce on my ball... Around 11am I had minor minor cramps that I really had on and off the whole second and third trimester but when I wiped I noticed I was bleeding a little so I called my dr and they told me to time them, when I started after a few hours I realized, they were 3 minutes apart! I got to the dr office around 330, they checked me and confirmed I was 4cm dilated- and sent me to the hospital (I needed an IV of antibiotics prior to babies arrival) we had plans on a natural birth, so I got in the tub and labored for a while, then I decided to get out so that I could walk, contractions got more intense, they checked me and said I was at 6cm and I just about died thinking "OMG, this is actually going to get worse?!" Lol... So I opted for the shower so I could stand and sway with my hubby by my side, then contractions were so bad I could barely stand so I opted for the tub again, well first contraction in the tub I jumped up (I had terrible back labor!) and realized there was just no freaking way that I could be sitting down with the amount of pain I was in, I begged the nirse for nubane-- as I dried off and got back to
My bed right as the nurse was getting ready to administer it my midwife was checking me and she said "don't give her that nubane- were having a baby instead!" It took 1 hour for me to dilate from 7cm-10cm, 45 minutes of pushing and my beautiful son was born weighing 6lbs 1oz, 18 1/2 inches long at 11:01pm- I labored for 10 hours
The chord was around his neck but there were no issues as they were able to undo it so quickly that he cried almost immediately- a weird thing was that the chord broke off of the placenta as soon as he came out so they had to give me pitocin just to deliver the placenta... But I did and all was ok:) Abram Benjamin my greatest blessing 💙
He is perfect and is 7 weeks old now, my God does time fly
