I got caught
**PLEASE HOLD THE JUDGEMENT**
I was caught shoplifting from kohls back in early January. They sent me a civil demand but that was it. The loss prevention officer said I've been banned from kohls and never come back. And no I wasn't arrested. The police weren't even called.
But my question is how can I be banned if they didn't take my picture or take down my SSN? They never mentioned anything about being put into a database because of the theft. I applied for a retail job (not at kohls) since then and I got it.
Does anyone know anything about loss prevention, law, etc.
