Fetal Doppler

After much research and debate I chose to order an at home fetal doppler. I chose the Pocket Fetal Doppler 3mhz and ordered it off EBay for 38.99 new, not used. I'm 16 weeks and 6 days and received it today. For anyone thinking about getting one I personally reccommend it. The reasons behind why doctors sometimes don't like them is because they can be misused causing you more stress than needed. I waited til I was farther along, some people start using them early, at 8 or 9 weeks and have a real difficult time finding the heartbeat. I was able to find mine today very quickly. I've watched many YouTube videos on how to find it which helped a lot. As well as I get to hear my baby's heartbeat at every monthly appointment so I am familiar with what it sounds like. A "heartbeat" appearing on the Doppler at a low number that sounds like a whooshing is not the heartbeat. The heartbeat sounds like a muffled galloping horse and will be in a higher beat range. I love that I got one and can hear the little nuggets heart beat!
