Any previous CSection Momma's considering VBAC?

Question

Hi y'all! This is my second pregnancy and with my first I had to have an emergency c-section for HELLP syndrome. This time around if all goes well I'm wondering if I should try a vaginal delivery or just go with a scheduled c-section? I'm torn on which would be a better choice. The c-section hurt so bad afterwards and I could hardly get comfortable enough to sleep when I had the chance. I'd like to not be so miserable afterwards.

I've had two vbac's after c section :) very happy with them WAAAY better! Healing time was shorter

I had a breech baby, so c-section with my first was 6 months ago.  My plan is to do VBAC unless something happens during labor because my incision isn't healed all the way.. OB said its always a risk 🙈

My first was vaginal and my second was an emergency csection for being breech and labor starting. I'll be going for a vbac. Healing from surgery with a toddler and a newborn was rough and I can't imagine doing it with three kids. Plus, although csections are pretty common, it's still major surgery. And having multiple abdominal surgeries isn't appealing to me. I would do some research on vbacs and their risks, but also look at the risks associated with multiple csections. They both carry a set of risks and only you can decide what's best for you. My ob from my first two doesn't do vbacs per hospital policy so I'm traveling over an hour to see a midwife.

I had to have a c-section because my body figured it didn't want to deal with pushing a 14.5" skull out. I would love to try vback but my doctor isn't sure we are going to figure out what will work for the best.

I am hoping for a vbac. Had to order medical records because of my internal incision.  I am still waiting to find out.  My ob has an 85 percent success rate so I am going to trust their decision.

I had an emergency c - section due to failure to progress- nothing worked. And then something happened during my procedure and I nearly lost my life due to an infection this caused. It has been advised that I do not attempt a natural birth by my consultant, and plan for an elective c - section.  I would follow what your consultant advises for you; do if they advise vbac, so that.

My Dr is really pushing for a VBAC. I'm apprehensive, I had an elective c-section with my first. I had a great experience and would be happy repeating it, but I'm open to hearing out the other side.

I'll be taking to my OB about it on Monday.  It'll have been 10 years since my last c-section, so I would guess it would be safe to try,  but I'm high risk too- AMA, diabetes,  and high blood pressure,  so who knows,  he may not let me go to full term.  My daughter was born at 35 weeks and was perfectly fine.

When I had my daughter via emergency c section my OB informed me I wouldn't be able to have any babies vaginally. A bit disappointed but then I can hopefully plan this baby's due date :). Good luck.
