I don't even believe in giving children allowances so I would never be in this position. But I would never give him a dime of allowance again. Then on top of that privileges would be taken away just for the disrespect. What would you do?

Then they get to continue to do the chore they were getting the allowance for and get no allowance anymore. And they get to lose privileges also. I would be pissed.

Lol well that's stupid. Now the kid has no money vs what they earned. 😂 I believe in rewarding my child (not just with money alone) for good behaviour, doing chores, etc. but that would stop the instant they did something like this.

That certainly would be it for money for them.....not even bday money would they get! All their allowances and cash would go into their college fund...and chores and work would continue. This would be the way it remains until they learn to be grateful and appreciate what they have. I would like to think it will never come to this, I don't know if we will do allowance yet or not right now my kids are thrilled with pennies and nickels for picking up their toys haha

Well FIRST hear a EAR FULL from me, then would probably STOP all money and continue to do chores but not earn money for it.  and then teach them a lesson and show them that there is people out here in the world who BEG for what you just ripped up. Maybe take my child to a homeless shelter and show them the true value of things and how you should appreciate them more often.
