Metformin for conception?

Question

Has anyone's doctor put them on Metformin? I've been trying to conceive since last August. I have all the classic symptoms of PCOS but my labs were borderline for having it., which shocked my endo and my gyn. I also have Hashimotos which also might be what's slowing down conception. Has anyone had luck with metformin? I was out on it last week and hope it helps!

Not sure if it was Metformin or me giving up and not stressing, but I got pregnant first month on metformin.

I ovulated for the first time on day 14 my first month on metformin. Every cycle prior was day 21 to 28 so I would have to say it works! I have mild PCOS with borderline insulin resistance. My thyroid is slowish but still in the normal range. I'd add it if your endo is willing and it works with your thyroid meds the first couple weeks stay near a toilet but after it's fine. I'm assuming you're thyroid imbalance is being treated if not do so as it's needed to get pregnant although you likely know that already. Oh and make sure you have enough of both T3 and T4 sometimes that gets overlooked but with the metformin will probably help with other things too so I'd give it a shot, I did and I have cut between 1 and 2 weeks off my menstrual cycle I was speechless when I ovulated to early seriously took me by surprise it worked so fast.
