"Leaving the body the natural way"

I'm confused. I see some people commenting and saying they'd never pierce their baby's ears or have their son circumcised because they would prefer to leave their child's body the way it was created.

What I don't understand is how can you make that specific argument, yet have your baby get a haircut? Or clip/paint their nails.

This is NOT a post saying whether or not circumcision/piercings are right or wrong. This is just me asking certain women how can they make this specific argument and yet still "alter" a baby's natural appearance (hair and nails). It just seems a bit hypocritical..
