Polite way to ask your doctor to prescribe different meds since the clomid did not work for me?

I want to try metformin... I have faith and good feeling about it since I heard positive stories about it (pcos)

Exactly what you said in your title and comment.  "We've given Clomid a chance for x months and it doesn't seem to be helping.  I'd like to look into other options and have heard good things about metformin.    Do you think i would be a good candidate? Do you have any concerns?

Metformin helps to regulate blood sugars and can help regulate a cycle as a result.  Clomid is a drug that increases the ovulation.  They do different things, so if you have regular blood sugar and take metformin it may hurt more than help.  If the issue is a weak ovulation, metformin wont help there.

It doesn't hurt to have the conversation woth your dr though.

I did Clomid for 6 months and it didn't work for me. I would just go to your Dr and say I really don't want to try this anymore because it isn't working for me. I'm doing folistem Injections as soon as I start my cycle. I know how you feel. Good luck! !
