So, I went in to my first ultrasound today with an estimate of being 8w1d based on the date of my last period. However, upon the ultrasound, they said that I'm actually about 6w4d. Which, I know this happens. What I am curious about though. The ultrasound tech said that it's not uncommon to have a slow start at the very beginning and that when I go back in two weeks for another ultrasound, it's possible for the baby to "catch up" and for me to measure up to10 weeks, give or take. She didn't say it was likely, but just possible.

Has anybody had such a drastic growth/change in due date personally?

Also! I decided to go ahead and do the announcement early because my in laws know and they are HORRIBLE at keeping secrets :)
